Dr. Andrea Yee was born and raised in Victoria, BC. She graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry with honors from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL. After graduation, she moved to Memphis, TN to complete her residency in Primary Eye Care at the Southern College of Optometry.
Dr. Yee is currently a candidate for fellowship with the American Academy of Optometry. Her clinical interests include dry eye, contact lenses, and ocular disease. She has previously volunteered with the student chapter of VOSH International (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity) to provide eye care and eye wear to communities in need in Mexico and Belize and plans to continue these missions in the future.
Andrea is excited for the opportunity to return home to be closer to her family and fiancé. She looks forward to starting the next chapter of her career serving the Saanich Peninsula community. In her free time, Andrea enjoys cooking, travelling, rock climbing, hiking, and cycling.
